It seems to be a growing trend to ‘not give a s#*t’… People are always saying, “I don’t care about this,” or “I don’t care about that.” Here’s a quick quiz to see how much of a s#*t you do give.

1)            You’re required to do a presentation. You make a mistake. Do you…

A.            Make fun of your mistake?

B.            Grin, roll your eyes and get on with it?

C.            Blush and mumble through the rest of your presentation?

2)            You are temporarily using someone else’s phone. While you’re on the bus, the phone goes
off. Thing is: its ringtone is this really old, one-hit-wonder song. You are most likely to:

A.            Think ‘Atomic Kitten? Really now…’ but answer the phone anyway.

B.            Sigh really loudly and say, “This is my cousin/friend’s phone” but answer it.

C.            Take out the phone and desperately try to shut the damn thing up.

3)            Just how important are current affairs to you?

A.            Huh? What? Why should I care?

B.            I more or less know what’s happening…

C.            Very important. I follow it as if it’s my favourite series.

4)            Karaoke is a good idea…

A.            Whenever! I have Idols aspirations.

B.            If I have moral support. I’m not doing that alone!

C.            You’ve got to be joking.

5)            Whose opinions matter the most to you?

A.            A couple of people.

B.            The people closest to me, mostly friends and family.

C.            Friends, family, neighbours, pets, neighbour’s pets… to name but a few.

6)            You’re at the cinema with friends and you all have different ideas about which movie to see.
You want to watch something that you know neither of them wants to see AND it's the last day
of screening. How do you respond to this?

A.            “Guys, if we don’t all agree on something, I’m going to watch that movie that I want to see.”

B.            Get out of the line and do something else instead.

C.            “I’ll go with whatever.”

7)            We live in a material world that encourages us to keep up-to-date with latest trends. How
trendy do you think you are?

A.            Trends come and go. I prefer to do my own thing.

B.            I am aware of the latest trends but there’s no point in trying to keep up with them all.

C.            I’m pretty trendy.

8)            You were excited to see a friend of yours whom you haven’t seen in ages. On the same day,
you get a message saying, “Family issues have come up and I can’t go anymore. Really sorry.”
How do you feel about this?

A.            It’s not as if it’s Armageddon! I make plans with other people or do whatever.

B.            I admit to feeling a bit down about it… for about five minutes. I bounce back quickly.

C.            Shocked! How could he/she bail on me? And on the same day too!

9)            An issue in your community is really starting to piss you off. You feel strongly about it and
think that something should be done. What do you do?

A.            Nothing. I’ll let other people worry about it.

B.            ‘Like’ a Facebook page that supports this issue.

C.            Make a petition and get your all my friends to sign it.

10)          Your family is giving your sister flak over her career choice. What advice would you give her?

A.            “Do what you want. Don’t give a shit about what they think.”

B.            “Study your passion now and please your parents later.”

C.            “Consider the family. You wouldn’t want to let them down.”

To give a s#*t or not give a s#*t?

That is the question…

Mostly As

Well, you just simply don’t give a flying s#*t, do you? In fact, you probably won’t care about what I have to say so there is no point in carrying on…

Mostly Bs

You’re in the middle somewhere… Let’s put it like this: you give a s#*t to a certain extent. You know when to care about things and know when not to. How’s that for balance?

Mostly Cs

You care a bit too much. Some things are not worth giving a s#*t about. Someone bails on you, it’s their loss. Plus it’s okay to stand out a little.
